ahoy swashbucklers, welcome to my blog
*2025 UPDATE*
Once upon a time, it was my dream to make it as a travel blogger. With a budding career of journalism ahead of me[citation needed], and a rotating roster of eager photographers, it was only a matter of time before we broke through to the mainstream, right?
Obviously as it’s been 8 years, and my blog has had about 1000 views total, this has not been the case.
I DO, however, have a backlog of drafts saved that are definitely no longer relevant (I’m looking at you “Why Israel Is The Ultimate Road Trip Destination“) that I may get around to submitting -if I can ever get the stomach to edit any of them-, but for now, treat this as an archive of adventures gone by.
I live a fairly different life now; new career, new parter, new city. It feels hard for me to come back to these stories I’ve left untold and try to retell them again, and sadly I find it difficult to write anything at all. When I’m travelling, I don’t have the time, and when I stop travelling, I miss it too much to rehash it.
In the meantime, please enjoy the ghost of my former life, and hopefully one day I’ll strike up some nomadic inspiration and bring you some content.
-2019 to 2025-
Our journey has ended, but the adventure has only just begun!
In June 2019, we embarked on a global expedition for 9 months. We caught planes, trains, and automobiles, hiked long distances and skated across oceans, made lifelong friends, and had countless of adventures. Some of these are written about, some of these are vlogged, but our entire journey is mapped out below. Try clicking around on the interactive map below to read about some of our adventures. Alternatively, you can click STORIES to read longer, slightly amusing accounts of our escapades, or BLOGS to slightly read more informative articles.
Happy travels, and keep on swashbuckling!
Brad
